This page shows pictures and some info about the build.
It all started back in Feb 2002 when I wanted to restore my mini, after a lot of ringing/driving around to get quotes, and a long time thinking about what I wanted the mini to look like in the end. I came across a company in York call C&S specialist in Mini's (Colin and Simon), I gave them a ring and had a chat about what I wanted and they told me they had a shell which could be worth a look at. (see the pictures)

I took a trip up to York to look at the shell and for £800 the shell was mine, the shell would have a new front end and new inner/out sills fitted by C&S.
I now had to make one of the biggest decision of the build, and that was, do I fit Sport Pack arches or a Zeemax body kit? So I asked Colin for two quotes for the work to be done. Below is a list of the things I wanted doing/fitting to the shell (for the Zeemax car)
The shell, Zeemax body kit, doors, bonnet (Mk1style), boot lid (Mk1), M3 mirrors, chrome door handles, roof spoiler, rear lights (custom made) , full wiring loom, roof lining, all windows, new seals (doors/windows), a full re-pray in metallic blue and delivered. (Some parts I had to supply and are not in the quoted price by C&S) the quote came back @ £2983.50 Inc VAT. And yes I took it. They would not be able to start work on it till late Sep 2002.
So with the shell taken care of all I had to do was build up the sub-frames. As I was going to have a big engine and lot of bhp, I had to have good brakes, so I picked a pair alloy Mini Spare 4-pot calipers and vented/slotted/drilled disks with Green Stuff pads. I also fitted an adjustable tie rod and rose jointed bottom arms. For the suspension, I fitted Gaz coiler overs (front/rear), and a quick rack. For the back I fitted a pair of Moss Sport super fins, re-con radius arms and new brakes shoes etc. The final bill rolling in @ £1750 for the two sub-frames to be built and that was with all new parts.
With the frames now done, I had to think about the engine, dash, seats, etc; I had a good few months before the shell would be ready so I started to look at what engine I was going to fit. I first pick a 1380cc with Webbers, then after a few months, I saw the Williams mini with 200bhp I had to have one like that. So I had to find a Metro Turbo engine, after a good few weeks of looking I found one @ £250. (see the pictures).
